This week, we will be rolling out another one of our most requested features from this past spring, specifically around mandatory profile information.
How it Currently Works (the old way)
Currently, all referee contact information except email addresses are decentralized. This means that an official provides their address, phone number, and date of birth individually for each organization they work with.
Many of you have a need to ensure your referees have complete profile information, which typically includes an official’s mailing address, phone number, email, parent contact, and date of birth for officials who are under the age of 18.
How it’s Going to Work (the new way)
Starting on Thursday, August 1, when an official logs into the website, if they have incomplete profile information, Assignr will prompt them to complete their profile, and they will not be able to continue using the website until all information is provided. This functionality will also be released in the mobile app sometime next week.
With this change, officials will now provide their information once (address, phone number, date of birth, parent contact information, and US Soccer Federation referee certification where relevant), and this information is shared across all organizations that an official works with. This will provide for a much better experience for the official, and also makes it much easier to have access to correct information on the officials you work with.
For soccer assignors that use our US Soccer Federation integration, our system will prompt each official to provide their date of birth, and will ask them to verify their USSF ID number, if we don’t already have this information on file. Additionally, for officials under the age of 18, we will require that they provide a parent name and email address if they haven’t done so already.
We are excited to release this new functionality to all of our customers this week. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
