Each game is assigned to an age group. assignr.com uses age groups in several ways:
- Referee Ability. Using the ability feature, each referee can be "qualified" to work specific age groups.
- Game start and end times. Each age group has a game length (in minutes) assigned to it. assignr.com uses this value to determine when a game ends. If the game length of an age group is set correctly, assignr.com can help prevent a referee from being assigned to overlapping games on the same day.
- Game Fees. Each age group can have game fees associated with it. When a game is assigned to an age group, the game inherits the game fees from the age group. Games with similar referee fee structures should be assigned to the same age group. Each game can have it's own game fees associated with it, but the default game fees come from the game's age group.
